SILVERMAN TRIATHLON in Las Vegas

Lluvia's sister, Aurora, entered the Half Silverman Triathlon.
The family gathered together to support, cheer, cry and celebrate the event.
The Campbell's and Efrian Villalobos Family came from Utah along with Mom.
Ligiah flew in from LA and Jorge and Jenna flew in from NYC.

On Friday all the family started arriving.
Ligiah arrived on Saturday.

AND THEIR OFF!!
Sunday morning, November 8th,
the whistle blew at 8:30am sharp.
First event of the day - the swimming!
Took Aurora about an hour to swim 1.2 miles.

The poster making committee!

Aurora's #1 fan & supporter!

This is Aurora just after finishing her swim.
She runs up the runway and...

...and lies on her back
while volunteers help her take off the rubber suit
and head to the tent to dress
for the biker portion of the race.

The family anxiously waits for Aurora to exit
the dressing tent and pick up her bike.

Coming down the gold carpeted runway,
here is contestant #601, Aurora Rojas,
running to locate her bike!

Aurora has mounted her bike.
Notice she has grabbed a bite to eat.
She must eat & drink about
every 20 minutes to keep going.
She will burn about 6000 calories during the race.

The poster making committee
is now the cheering committee!!

At one of our stops along the side of the road,
we found this vehicle with a Nevada license plate.
It just happened to have Aurora's number of 601 on it.
Seems like a good luck sign!

Lluvia and her Mom by the finish line.
It looks like Michael Jackson behind them,
but it's really the Silverman logo!

Aurora coming to the finish line for the bike race portion.
She was concentrating so hard,
she went right over the line without stopping.
After 56 miles, what's another few feet and seconds, right?
It took her over 4 hours to bike this.

Aurora has changed clothes once again
and is now ready for the running portion.

Run, eat and drink.
Not much else to do for 4 more hours!
Only 13.1 miles of total running.
"You can do it" yells the family.

So far so good.
The spirits are high!
The calf muscle is holding out!

Better hurry up!  The sun is setting!

Aurora crossing the finish line!  Yeah!!
She made it!!!

The entire family.
From L to R is Ligiah, Aurora, Mom Olivia,
Efrain, Lluvia & Jorge.

Aurora gives her coach a huge hug!

Aurora standing in front of the publicity stage
for a pic with her medal.
Her response to doing it again?
"Don't even talk to me about that right now!!!"
Way to go girl.  We're so proud of you!!
